Indian women’s cricket has found a new star in Pratika Rawal, who smashed her first international century during the third ODI against Ireland at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. The 24-year-old right-hand batter scored a stunning 154 off 129 balls, hitting 20 fours and a six with a strike rate of 119.38.
The Pratika Rawal show!
In just her sixth international match, Rawal showed her class and potential. She reached her hundred in just 100 balls, dominating the Irish bowlers with precision and flair. Her century was a natural progression from her earlier performances in the series. She scored 89 runs in the first ODI and followed it up with 67 runs in the second, making this knock even more special.
Rawal’s innings was part of a record-breaking day for India. She partnered with Smriti Mandhana to put up a massive 233-run opening stand—the third-highest partnership by an Indian pair in women’s ODIs. Mandhana also made headlines by smashing the fastest hundred by an Indian woman in WODIs, scoring 135 runs before getting out.
