BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla rubbished reports of an alleged rift between India cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma, head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar. The official was forced to clear the air after reports claimed that the trio were not on the same page, especially after India’s 1-3 defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The three participated in a review meeting on Saturday to review the team’s performance in Down Under and to chalk the path for the future.

He threw his weight behind seniors Rohit and Virat Kohli and pointed out that being out of form happens in sports.
“Completely wrong statement to be made. No rift between coach, selection chairman, and captain,” said Shulka.
