Letter: CEQA should be waived for all California homebuilding

Govenor Newsom has waived California Environmental Quality Act requirements and California Coastal Act environmental permit rules for rebuilding homes destroyed by fire.

Great news for rebuilders!  How about the rest of us, with CEQA and CCA restricting the supply of new homes, making California homes unaffordable?

Aren’t the Palisades largely populated by wealthy Hollywood Democratic donors, who are also vociferous environmental activists?

Once again, as with Nancy’s haircut and Gavin’s French Laundry, “Rules for Thee, but Not for Me”!
