Jimmy Johnson proposes never-before-seen head coach move on Fox NFL Sunday involving ‘stale’ Cowboys and Steelers

JIMMY Johnson has proposed a crazy trade between two historic teams.

Johnson’s trade idea doesn’t involve any players or draft picks.

After watching the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night, Johnson had an idea of how to spice things up in the Steel City.

Johnson is a former head coach of the Dallas Cowboys and his cohost Terry Bradshaw is a former player on the Steelers.

He suggested that the two teams should swap head coaches in an effort to excite the franchises.

“Things are stale in Pittsburgh. Things are stale in Dallas,” Johnson said.

“How about a coaching swap? Mike McCarthy is a Pittsburgh guy.

“Let him go to Pittsburgh. Let Mike Tomlin go to Dallas.

    “Both franchises would be excited.”

Mike McCarthy‘s Cowboys missed the playoffs this year after making it in three-consecutive seasons.

Meanwhile, Mike Tomlin’s Steelers lost their sixth-consecutive playoff game.

Both franchises obviously need a change, so why not something drastic and never seen before?

While Johnson was excited by this idea, NFL fans were confused by it and shared their thoughts on social media.

“Such a lateral move that makes absolutely zero sense for either organization,” one fan said.

“Steelers will regret the day they let Tomlin walk,” another fan said.

“Zero chance Pittsburgh would be excited about that swap,” a third fan said.

“Dallas would be getting a winner,” a fourth fan said.

“Cowboys would def take that swap,” a fifth fan said.

While it is an interesting idea, it is an unlikely even that the Cowboys and Steelers would swap coaches.

The Cowboys have already entered contract negotiations with McCarthy for an extension.

Meanwhile, Tomlin’s future in Pittsburgh is murky.

While he has never had a losing season, Tomlin hasn’t won a playoff game in eight years and it has been 14 years since he won the Super Bowl.
