DOZENS of passengers have been injured after two trams collided in a horror crash at a station in France.
Chaotic footage shows people breaking the doors of the train to pull passengers out of the carriages after the horror crash at Strasbourg station.
People can be heard screaming in terror as smoke filled the underground tunnel station after the accident.
A large rescue operation is now underway after initial reports claimed at least 30 people have been injured.
The horror crash is thought to have occurred after one of the trams accidentally switched tracks before hitting a second tram that was stopped at the station.
One of the trams is reported to have derailed after the accident.
An investigation into the accident is said to be underway, according to local news outlets.
Cops confirmed that tram traffic through the main station has been interrupted “following a tram accident”, French outlet Actu17 reports.
