It’s real cold out there, so Victor’s thinking warm thoughts: trending today is a story about heat, specifically the still-open question of exactly when the temperature gets so high that air-circulating fans cease to have any cooling effect. Turns out there’s no scientific consensus: some studies say fans stop working when the temperature hits the low to mid 90s; others say fans still do some good even into the triple digits. (For better or worse, though, we’re nowhere near any of those points today.)
