PATRICK Mahomes’ mother, Randi, shared an emotional message during a tough time for the family.
The Mahomes situation comes as the NFL star’s Kansas City Chiefs squad secured the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage in the playoffs thanks to a 15-2 record during the season.
Randi’s father and Patrick’s grandfather has been sick throughout 2024 and now in 2025.
The Mahomes family hasn’t revealed Randy’s exact health condition, but he has been in the hospital numerous times over the past few months.
Randi has already lost her mother in 2023.
On January 3, she revealed an update, writing on X, “Friday night visiting my dad [heart emoji].”
The message comes after Randi asked for prayers concerning Martin’s sudden deterioration of health on her Instagram story on New Year’s Day.
“Prayers warriors, please pray for my addy. He is in the hospital and is not well,” she wrote.
However, Randi managed to find a reason to celebrate as Martin’s birthday was on January 6.
On that day, she posted an Instagram picture of herself with her dad in front of a private jet.
“Happy Birthday Daddy. I love you,” Randi wrote in the Instagram story caption.
Randi will become a grandmother for the third time as Patrick’s wife Brittany is expecting to give birth soon.
Before the Chiefs’ win over the San Francisco 49ers in last February’s Super Bowl, she revealed a heartfelt tribute to her mom.
“Momma I know you are cheering today from Heaven,” Randi wrote on Instagram.
“I miss you every single day.. I can hear you yelling ‘Go Patrick'”.
Mahomes will have a week off before preparing to face their opponent in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.
Kansas City will attempt to achieve a three-peat – a feat that has never been accomplished in league history.
Mahomes threw 26 passing touchdowns against 11 interceptions for 3,928 yards.
He recorded the lowest amount of passing yards in a full season as a starter in 2024.
As a result, Mahomes didn’t make a Pro Bowl roster for the first time in his career.
He will look to win his fourth Super Bowl MVP of his career.
