MOUNTAIN VIEW – A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Mountain View, according to authorities.

Officers arrived to find the motorcyclist unconscious in the roadway. The person was taken to an area hospital, where they were listed in critical condition, police said.
Northbound lanes were closed while officers collected evidence and interviewed potential witnesses.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but alcohol and drugs did not appear to play a role, police said.
