Nottingham Forest were denied a penalty against Wolverhampton Wanderers after the ball struck Rayan Ait-Nouri’s arm in the box.
Ola Aina sent in a chipped cross which hit Ait-Nouri’s hand, although no penalty was awarded to the visitors, who were already leading 1-0 at Molineux.
Aina was amongst the Forest players who ran over appealing to referee Peter Bankes, who deemed it not a penalty.
The Premier League Match Centre posted on X shortly after the incident to confirm that it was ‘checked and confirmed by VAR’.
“The referee’s call of no penalty for a potential handball by Ait-Nouri was checked and confirmed by VAR, who deemed his arm was in a natural position” it wrote on X.
It didn’t affect Forest too much in their bid to consolidate their place in the top four with Nuno Espirito Santo’s men going 2-0 up at half time.
