NFL Week 18: Bears vs. Packers – Lineups, Inactives, How to Watch, More

The Chicago Bears haven’t beaten the Green Bay Packers since 2018.

A win would be nice. They haven’t had one of those in Green Bay in ages. And because I don’t think a win against the Packers would change the organization’s mindset heading into the offseason, I wouldn’t be mad about this team pulling off an upset. And, yes, I am still willing to hold up my end of the bargain on a wager we made on the draft-day YouTube show we did last April. If Caleb Williams beats the Packers, then I will order a jersey. Until then, my jersey purchases for 2025 are on hold.

With that being said, here are the three things I want to see today:

    1. Caleb Williams throws for 446 yards, which would set a new single-season passing record for the Chicago Bears franchise. That doesn’t seem doable, but maybe the offense comes out throwing and neglects the run altogether. Let’s get weird.

    2. Gervon Dexter Sr. finishing the year on a high note is a more attainable goal for today. The second-year defensive tackle is second on the team with 5 sacks (1/2 sack behind team leader Montez Sweat) and has a team-leading 18 quarterback hits. Dexter’s Year 2 development has been a bright spot on a depleted defensive line.

    3. Everyone getting out of this game is the top priority in this one.

Today is Virginia Halas McCaskey’s 102nd birthday. Might as well send her the gift of a win in Green Bay:
