KANSAS CITY CHIEFS’ home stadium is the toughest place to go in the NFL, according to a player vote.
The Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, are seeking a record third consecutive Super Bowl title in 2025.
They have become the team to beat in the NFL and are yet to lose at their Arrowhead Stadium this season.
ESPN recently asked 111 football stars to rank the most difficult places to play in the NFL.
It was Kansas who topped the standings with 57 points, 15.5 ahead of the Seattle Seahawks‘ Lumen Field and 28.5 more than the Minnesota Vikings‘ U.S. Bank Stadium.
And Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day has explained what makes the Chiefs so difficult to beat in their own backyard.
He said: “I just think the aura, and the fans are nuts. They’re so loud, you can’t even hear yourself think at times.
“And obviously Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are a great duo.
“They feed off that energy, and their defense feeds off it, too, Chris Jones and them.
“The atmosphere is crazy.”
Denver Broncos rookie tight end Noah Fant also recalled a particularly intense atmosphere when the Chiefs hosted his side for a snowy game in December 2019.
Fant said: “You figured it’s a blizzard, won’t be as many fans there. And it was still super loud, and they were going crazy.”
The other teams whose home stadiums made the top 10 in the vote were the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions.
