AARON Rodgers has made a clear statement on his NFL future ahead of the final game of the season.
Rodgers, 41, is nearing the end of his second season with the New York Jets.
He has been in the league for two decades and is a four-time Most Valuable Player.
New York has endured a horrid season and enters the season finale at the Miami Dolphins with a 4-12 record.
Coach Robert Saleh was fired and general manager Joe Douglas was also given his marching orders.
Rodgers has one more year left on his deal with the team, but there is no guaranteed money remaining.
But the quarterback admitted Sunday’s game at the Dolphins could be his last.
“Yeah, of course,” he acknowledged when asked about the possibility.
“This game has given me a lot,” Rodgers said.
“I’ve given a lot back to it, and I’m thankful for it.
“I won’t be thinking about that on game day. I’ll just be enjoying this.
“I’m trying to stay in the moment, but, of course, it’s been a long career.
“I’m really proud of what I’ve been able to be a part of, what I’ve been able to accomplish, and I’m also looking forward to a nice mental and physical rest.”
Rodgers said he will decide before free agency in March whether he wants to continue playing in 2025.
He is open to a new team and possibly being a mentor to a younger quarterback.
And Rodgers seemed resigned to his time at the Jets ending.
He called it “the best two years of my life.”

“I think there’s going to be change here.
“If I’m a part of the change, then I just want to make sure everybody knows I have nothing but gratitude for my time here.”
Rodgers was drafted in the first round in 2005.
He spent 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers and won the Super Bowl in 2010.
