As the eldest son of Kourtney Kardashian, much of Mason Disick's early life was spent on camera—but the 15-year-old has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years. So when the teen made an appearance in his mom's holiday Instagram post this week, fans couldn't get over how much different he looked.
Kourtney shared a series of photos from her family's Christmas celebration on Monday, Dec. 30, kicking off the carousel with a pic of her blended brood with husband Travis Barker.

In the shot, Kourtney and Travis posed in front of a Christmas tree with Travis' son Landon, 21, and stepdaughter Atiana, 25, whom he shares with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, as well as Kourtney's three children with ex Scott Disick: Mason, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 9. Travis held baby Rocky, his son with Kourtney, in his arms. Also present in the photo was family friend Carl Dawson.
"‘Twas the night before Christmas ❤️," Kourtney captioned the post.

Mason, who towered over Kourtney in the photo, made a big impression on his mom's followers.
"mason looks like rob when he was younger," one person observed, referencing Kourtney's brother Rob Kardashian.
"Dude mason looks like he’d rather be anywhere else but there," someone else noted, though another Instagram user was quick to point out that this is the case for "pretty much every teen his age when they are with family lol."
As Kourtney explained on a 2022 episode of the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat, Mason definitely isn't a big fan of being in the public eye.
“I see comments all the time that I’m never with my kids, and I just don’t love to post my kids on social media,” Kourtney said. “They don’t love it—sometimes they do.”
Mason, however, “doesn’t want any part of it," she continued, adding, “He doesn’t love it. I want my kids to be kids. I crave normalcy as much as we can have it.”
