While celebrating the birth of her first child with her husband, Blaine Hart, The Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman had to return to the hospital after experiencing pain that got "worse by the day."
The 37-year-old recounted her "pretty terrifying" experience on social media, telling fans to "Trust your body, trust your instinct and trust that your doctors do truly care about your health and well being and don't be afraid to reach out to them."

Dorfman shared the update with fans a few days after giving birth to her daughter Harper, posting a photo from the hospital with the message, via TMZ, "Welp, we're back! This time for Mama (minor setback and need a quick/safe procedure)."
She declared, "Lesson Learned: No matter how clueless you are about motherhood, you still know your body best! Listen to it!"
The new mom later shared an update, revealing that she suffered from one large and one small hematoma that needed to be dealt with through surgery. A hematoma is a pool of blood that forms somewhere in the body, according to the National Cancer Institute.

"Despite the internet saying recovery takes time, I still felt something was wrong and finally after trying every home remedy, called my doctors and they told me to come right in."
She noted that the surgery was a "very straight forward procedure," but the experience was "still pretty terrifying." Dorfman ended her message by telling fans to listen to their bodies.
"I felt some guilt worrying about myself instead of my daughter but realized she's no good if I'm no good. Hope this helps anyone out there doubting their own post partum recovery," she concluded.
Dorfman and her husband welcomed their first child together, their daughter Harper, on Dec. 20.
