Southern California will experience a mix of mild days, cool nights and dry conditions as a weak upper ridge settles over the region, according to the National Weather Service.
On Thursday and Thursday night, a series of weak Pacific weather systems will pass to the north, bringing an uptick in afternoon wind gusts.
High temperatures Thursday are expected to reach 63 to 68 along the coast, 65 to 70 in the western valleys, 57 to 64 in the mountains and 70 to 74 in the deserts.
By Friday and Saturday, a stronger upper ridge is expected to build, maintaining the region’s warm and dry pattern, the NWS said.
Forecasters anticipate low humidity inland, with marine clouds beginning to reform over coastal waters Thursday night. These clouds are likely to expand along the immediate coast Friday night into Saturday morning.
