Micah Pettus, former Ole Miss OL, commits to Florida State

Micah Pettus is taking his talents to the ACC, as the former Ole Miss offensive lineman has committed to Florida State, he told On3 on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-7, 350-pound mammoth offensive tackle will have 1 year of eligibility left, so he’s heading to Tallahassee for the 2025 season to finish out his collegiate career after spending his first 4 years at Ole Miss.

After signing with the Rebels in the class of 2021, Pettus redshirted in his first season in Oxford before becoming a big part of Ole Miss’s offensive line over the next 3 seasons. Pettus made 29 starts in 33 games during that time and was named a freshman All-American in 2022.

Pettus has been thought of as 1 of the premier offensive tackles in the country, gaining Preseason All-American status and also making it onto the Outland Trophy watch list.

Pettus started 11 of 12 games for Lane Kiffin this fall. He also started 9 games for the Rebels during the 2023 season before suffering a season-ending injury.

Now, Pettus will become a vital piece for Florida State’s offensive line in 2025, as the Seminoles try to forget a nightmare 2024 season that began with them ranked and ended with them going an unfathomable 2-10.
