Micah Pettus is taking his talents to the ACC, as the former Ole Miss offensive lineman has committed to Florida State, he told On3 on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-7, 350-pound mammoth offensive tackle will have 1 year of eligibility left, so he’s heading to Tallahassee for the 2025 season to finish out his collegiate career after spending his first 4 years at Ole Miss.

— Hayes Fawcett (@Hayesfawcett3) December 24, 2024After signing with the Rebels in the class of 2021, Pettus redshirted in his first season in Oxford before becoming a big part of Ole Miss’s offensive line over the next 3 seasons. Pettus made 29 starts in 33 games during that time and was named a freshman All-American in 2022.
Pettus has been thought of as 1 of the premier offensive tackles in the country, gaining Preseason All-American status and also making it onto the Outland Trophy watch list.
Pettus started 11 of 12 games for Lane Kiffin this fall. He also started 9 games for the Rebels during the 2023 season before suffering a season-ending injury.
Now, Pettus will become a vital piece for Florida State’s offensive line in 2025, as the Seminoles try to forget a nightmare 2024 season that began with them ranked and ended with them going an unfathomable 2-10.
