Firefighters were investigating Wednesday, Dec. 18, if a series of fires in the Sherman Oaks area were started by the same suspect.
A 10:30 p.m. Tuesday fire at a Sherman Oaks apartment complex, at 4721 Kester Ave. and south of Camarillo Street, damaged several vehicles and the windows at two units on Tuesday, Dec. 17, before Los Angeles firefighters extinguished the flames.
Fires were also reported at the World Market on Ventura Boulevard, at 11:30 p.m., and less than two hours later at a garage behind homes in the 4600 block on Columbus Avenue near Moorpark Street, firefighters said.
There was another fire at the In-N-Out Burger on Van Nuys and Ventura boulevards.
Fire and police investigators are working together to determine if the fires were connected.
