Who is J.R?
J.R entered the show with his girlfriend Zaina, 32, who he previously swiped right to on a dating app.
After three years together, Zaina decided to give J.R the ultimatum as she was ready to take their relationship to the next level.
On the show, J.R meets Sandy and they share an undeniable chemistry.
He tells her: “You have so much fire and passion in your eyes. That just ignites something in me.”
During their trial marriage, J.R and Sandy share a few kisses and J.R says: “I think you’d make a great wife.”
On the last night he reveals, he can “absolutely see myself married to someone like Sandy.”
Following the trial marriage, J.R denied to a fuming Zaina that anything else went down between the pair.
Who is Sandy?
Sandy entered the show with her boyfriend Nick, 38, who went from booty-call to boyfriend.
Nick, who is 10 years older than Sandy, was ready to take their relationship to the next level, giving Sandy the ultimatum.
Once Nick realizes the chemistry between Sandy and J.R, he attempts to disrupt the pair by showing up at her apartment.
However, Sandy and J.R continue their remaining days together and end their trial marriage with mutual respect and admiration for eachother.
Nick grows to resent Sandy after learning she and J.R kissed multiple times, yet he apologizes and attempts to pick up the pieces of their relationship.
Did they sleep together?
After a romantic pool date, a scene shows Sandy lying on the bed and J.R slowly closing the door.
The scene cuts and the rest is a mystery.
Some say Netflix edited the scene to make it seem the couple slept together, whereas others argue how could they have remained loyal with their undeniable chemistry.
There has been no confirmation as to whether the deed was done but Sandy has spoken out about the editing of the show.
She said: “Okay, I know it looks like there was absolutely nothing there but surface level, like physical stuff, but we don’t get to see any of the hours and hours of conversation that me and J.R. had.”
“We’re both Scorpios, obviously. We have very similar love languages, and we just had a lot of the same spiritual beliefs.”
What is The Ultimatum?
The Ultimatum is a show that’s designed to prompt couples to either marry eachother or move on.
Hosts, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey take the couples on an eight-week course which sees couples split, choose new partners, and even move in together.
The series has aired for three seasons, with the latest season being released on December 4, 2024.
