Former Oklahoma wide receiver Nic Anderson has reportedly decided on his transfer portal destination. The standout wideout entered the portal on Dec. 5 and announced through his agency on Tuesday night that he’s transferring to LSU.
Anderson exploded on the scene as a freshman in 2023. He set an Oklahoma freshman record by catching 10 passes with 38 catches for 798 yards. Unfortunately, Anderson was unable to build on that season in 2024 as a quad injury kept him sidelined for all but a few plays.
Now, the talented WR will get a fresh start in Baton Rouge.

He was rated as a 4-star prospect and the 247Sports Composite ranking had Anderson as the No. 38 WR and No. 38 player out of Texas in the 2022 class. Anderson chose Oklahoma over offers from Oregon, Notre Dame, USC, and others.
Anderson is the 3rd WR to commit to the Tigers via the portal so far. Barion Brown and Destyn Hill are the other receivers joining Anderson in Baton Rouge. Overall, the Tigers have had 9 portal players commit so far.
Meanwhile, for the Sooners, Anderson is 1 of 22 players to enter the portal. The mass exodus from Norman comes after the Sooners finished the 2024 season with a 6-6 record.
The Tigers will have a rebuilt supporting cast around QB Garrett Nussmeier, who recently announced his decision to return in 2025. First LSU, will prepare for a Texas Bowl matchup against Baylor.
