Former Auburn defensive back Antonio Kite has reportedly found his new team. He entered the portal on Dec. 9 and will now sign with the Ole Miss Rebels.
Kite transferred to Auburn from Alabama ahead of the 2024 season, but his career with the Tigers wouldn’t even last 1 full year. Kite was suspended and dismissed from the team in October after reportedly missing multiple practices. Now, the DB will try his luck at his 3rd SEC school in 3 years.

The former top recruit played in just 17 games over 3 seasons and only recorded defensive stats in 2024 with the Tigers. Kite’s Auburn tenure ends with 6 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 fumble recovery touchdown.
Before going to Alabama, Kite starred for Anniston High School in Anniston, AL. He was rated as a 4-star prospect and the 247Sports Composite ranking had Kite as the No. 8 athlete and No. 9 player out of Alabama in the 2022 class. Before deciding on Alabama, Kite had heavy interest from Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida State, and others.
The Rebels were one of the most active portal teams last year, and the same looks to be the case in 2025. The Rebels have added 9 players via the portal including Kite, while losing 9 as well. Edge rusher Princewill Umanmielen and offensive lineman Patrick Kutas are the biggest gets so far for the Rebels.
To wrap up the 2024 season, the Rebels are taking on the Duke Blue Devils in the Gator Bowl.
