Pringles is switching up its can designs in honor of the holidays, but fans aren't so sure about the festive graphics.
In a new post shared via X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Dec. 17, the crisps, which typically come in differently colored cans depending on the flavor, were arranged inside of their same slim containers—but instead of solid colors, a green and red can depicting an elf character with the Pringles logo as a head was displayed on the outside of the wrapper.

After snapping a photo of the holiday offerings situated on a store shelf and uploading it to the social platform, X user @hering_david comically admitted, "I feel strongly that we shouldn’t see his body. Feels like a violation," in the caption alongside the image.
In the comment thread, social media users played along, adding to the banter of the Pringles logo and his never-before-seen body.

"Don’t gender it," a third hilariously cautioned, as a fourth quipped, "That’s the body shape u get from eating Pringles."
"You know I imagined him more in a suit like the monopoly man," another reaction read, with one person insisting, "this should be illegal."

— luca (@Luca_2124) December 17, 2024Someone else likened it to the feeling one might experience after catching a glimpse of a different set of iconic characters suddenly touting full bodies: "This is the equivalent of seeing Muppets standing up."
Meanwhile, an additional X user attempted to make sense of it all, reasoning, "It's not his body, it's one of those photo frames you stick your head through to take a funny picture at the county fair."
On the other hand, some didn't mind the switch-up, with two separate people adding, "I like it" and "he’s a baddie tho [sic]."
