DuBose stayed in the hospital overnight after sustaining the hit and did not travel back to South Florida with the Miami Dolphins.

When he was taken off the field, medics removed his helmet and shirt to administer treatment.

DuBose took the hit from Houston Texans safety Calen Bullock, who was unaffected by the helmet-to-helmet contact.

The Dolphins receiver was motionless on the field for over 10 minutes before being carted off the field.

DuBose appears to be on the mend though, as the Dolphins provided a reassuring update on his health.

“After sustaining a head injury in yesterday’s game, Grant DuBose remained at a local Houston hospital for evaluation overnight,” the team wrote.

“He has movement in all extremities and initial tests have revealed positive results.

“He remains under the care of doctors for continued observation.”

DuBose’s teammates were extremely concerned about his health, huddling in a prayer circle while he was down on the field.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans were also seen embracing at the middle of the field during the incident.

“When you see a guy down on the field like that, it’s very hard to see and we’re just praying that all is well with him and that he recovers as quickly as possible,” Ryans said.

Bullock was penalized for unnecessary roughness for the hit, and showed remorse for it after the game.

“I was praying that he would be OK,” Bullock said.

“I wasn’t trying to go out there and hurt nobody.”

DuBose likely won’t play for the rest of the season, and NFL fans shared their well wishes for his recovery.
