Princewill Umanmielen, transfer edge rusher, commits to Ole Miss

Princewill Umanmielen is transferring from Nebraska to Ole Miss, according to a report.

On3’s Hayes Fawcett broke that news on Saturday night, noting that the talented edge rusher is the younger program of Princely Umanmielen, who spent the 2024 season with the Rebels after transferring in from Florida.

BREAKING: Former Nebraska EDGE Princewill Umanmielen has Committed to Ole Miss, he tells @On3sports The 6’4 250 EDGE has totaled 35 Tackles, 7 TFL, & 1.5 sacks in his 2 years with the CornhuskersBrother of Ole Miss EDGE Princely Umanmielen t.co/mPBnqjAwWZ pic.twitter.com/7kLcHHhlFN

Umanmielen made a big impact during his short time with the Cornhuskers. He registered 35 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and 1 pass deflection across 2 seasons at Nebraska. He was a regular contributor in both campaigns.

He’ll now follow in his brother’s footsteps to Oxford as the Rebels try to build a College Football Playoff contender in 2025. However, Princely is out of of collegiate eligibility, so they won’t have the opportunity to play together.

Ole Miss is already in the midst of building a strong recruiting class in 2025. Lane Kiffin and his staff have landed 6 transfer commits so far, with 4 of them classified as 4-star transfer recruits. The transfer class ranks No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Umanmielen will have 2 seasons of eligibility remaining.
