Sudan’s RSF attacks army base with drones in Shendi ...Sudan

December 11, 2024 (SHENDI) – Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched a drone attack on an army base in the city of Shendi on Wednesday, witnesses said, the latest in a series of attacks on the city. The army’s air defences engaged the drones, which arrived in waves at the 3rd Infantry Division base in Shendi, River Nile State, early in the morning. Witnesses reported hearing an explosion and said the drones caused a brief power cut in the city. Shendi is about 150 km (93 miles) north of the capital, Khartoum. This army base is one of the closest military units to RSF positions at the Khartoum oil refinery, about 70 km (43 miles) north of the capital. The RSF has also targeted the cities
