AFD put out southeast Austin fire, upgraded to second alarm

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Fire Department worked to put out a southeast Austin home fire in the 4600 block of Turnstone Drive Tuesday morning. This is located near East Stassney Lane and South Pleasant Valley Road. AFD said fire crews on scene reported seeing heavy fire inside and outside of the home. It has caused the fire to spread to the home next door, AFD said. The agency said the fire has now been upgraded to a second alarm. This means that more fire crews have been assigned to put out the fire. The Austin Fire Department is actively working to put out a southeast Austin home fire in the 4600 block of Turnstone Drive.
