December 5, 2024 (EL FASHER) – The United Nations voiced grave concern on Thursday over escalating violence in Sudan’s North Darfur region, particularly the impact on civilians in the Zamzam camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs). U.N. spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said ongoing shelling and insecurity have forced thousands to flee the camp.
