The Music Affairs Centre under the Ministry of Culture and Sports has started the 250th birth anniversary celebrations of legendary German composer Ludwig van Beethoven, by broadcasting a recommissioned performance of *Symphony No 5, on its social media platform. The broadcast received a high number of views, the ministry said in a statement yesterday. *Symphony No 5 was put into a new dramatic rendition, where Western and Arabic music were blended, imparting a new perspective to the renowned work. The scene starts with visuals of the music notation papers of *Symphony No 5 caught up in the air and landing in the Qatari desert, from where they are picked up by three local musicians who play
