November 23, 2024 (SINJAH) – The Sudanese army called on South Sudan’s government on Saturday to prevent Rapid Support Forces (RSF) fighters from crossing the border after they fled the city of Sinjah. The army announced earlier on Saturday that it had recaptured Sinjah, the capital of Sennar state, following intense battles with the RSF. The army retook the city after mobilizing forces from Al Dinder, Al Suki, Sennar, and Blue Nile.
