At approximately 2:26 p.m. Monday, CHP San Diego Area units received a call of a Ford F250 parked on the right shoulder of SR-52 eastbound, west of Regents Road, with an adult male lying on the right shoulder. The victim, 50, who had been struck by a Ford Transit also traveling eastbound, sustained major injuries. Authorities pronounced him dead on scene.
