SDSU Men’s Soccer, Undefeated in WAC Play, Takes Home Coach, Goalkeeper of Year Honors

Photo credit: Derrick Tuskan/San Diego State After winning the Western Athletic Conference regular season championship, San Diego State men’s soccer claimed two major postseason awards. Head coach Ryan Hopkins was named the Coach of the Year and Djibril Doumbia, Goalkeeper of the Year. In addition to Doumbia, the Aztecs placed three others on the All-WAC First Team – Reid Fisher, André Puente and Terence Okoeguale. Forwards Austin Brummett and Robbie Matei were named to the All-WAC Second Team and defender Cianole Nguepissi to the All-Freshman Team.
