Uighur activists have sounded the alarm that members of the community in Turkey could be forcibly returned to China, where they face risk of torture or worse. Uighur rights groups have raised the alarm at a Sino-Turkish extradition treaty ratified by Beijing, fearing that that activists from the Muslim minority resident in Turkey could be expelled to China where they could face detention or death.
