FORT MILL, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Parents made another push Tuesday night to convince district leaders to postpone opening the schools until the district could update its emergency response protocols -- in case something catastrophic happens at the Silfab solar plant. "My stomach dropped. I'm terrified of the possibility of sending my child to the school next to the highly combustible, highly flammable chemicals," said Mary-Katherine Langford.  She says she cannot believe the new school lines would mean her two sons would end up at Flint Hill, the new elementary campus is set to open in 2025 — next to Silfab Solar's Fort Mill plant.
