Chicago Cubs corner infield prospect Jonathon Long continues to hit in the Arizona Fall League, after hitting all year at High-A and Double-A. The latest game saw him go 2-4 with a single, a homer, two walks, two RBI, and four runs scored. The home run was of the opposite field variety: Long, 22, has so much natural power in his swing that it didn’t even look like he swung especially hard on that one, but still had plenty to send it out the other way. It was his 5th home run of the AFL season, tying him with org-mate Moises Ballesteros for 5th in the league. Long’s slash line is up to .345/.443/.638/1.081, good for the 5th best OPS among players with at least 60 PAs.
