Odisha is ranked 13th in the latest National Food Safety Index ranking. Earlier the state was ranked at 26th position. Commissioner of Food Safety Yamini Sarangi informed at the State level food safety advisory committee meeting. Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy was also present. “With increasing population in cities and growth centers, the food safety has become more critical both from the view points of individual and public health,” he was quoted as saying.
