Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on Tuesday, reviewed the implementation of livelihood schemes with the District Collectors. He reviewed the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme and Urban Employment Scheme in all the districts through video conferencing. He said that the government’s priority was to ensure employment for th e poor in these testing times. “From January 1, 2021, each district will have a separate cell for feedback on the employment scheme,” he said. He also directed District Collectors to fully utilise funds provided under the scheme by the end of the financial year.
