Copa America : USMNT vs. Brazil 1-1

The Copa America match between the USMNT and Brazil ended in a thrilling 1-1 draw, showcasing the talent and determination of both teams. The game was highly anticipated, with fans eagerly awaiting to see how the two sides would fare against each other.

Both teams displayed impressive skill and strategy throughout the match, creating numerous scoring opportunities and keeping spectators on the edge of their seats. The intensity of the game was palpable, as players from both teams fought fiercely for control of the ball and attempted to break through their opponent's defense.

Brazil stepped things up in attack during the second half and truly dominated possession, but were quite wasteful and failed to find a second goal despite creating several chances. They put nearly half of their 24 shots on frame but posted just 2.2 expected goals, while the U.S. were more efficient with their chances and mustered 1.2 expected goals from 12 shots. The hosts arguably had the best shots of the second half, with shots from the likes of Pulisic and Brenden Aaronson feeling like near guarantees to give the U.S. the advantage.

It marked a strong response from Gregg Berhalter's side, who were four days removed from a 5-1 loss to Colombia in another Copa America tune-up. The head coach is expected to name his roster for the tournament as soon as tomorrow ahead of the USMNT's first game against Bolivia, which is on June 23 at AT&T Stadium.

The USMNT begin play three days later against Bolivia in Texas, before rounding out the group stage with matches against Panama and Uruguay.

Brazil, meanwhile, begin with a match against Costa Rica on Monday June 24, before facing Paraguay and Colombia.

The game drew a mostly pro-Brazilian crowd of 60,016 to Camping World Stadium, the largest attendance for a U.S. national team game in Florida.

Yunus Musah nearly put the U.S. ahead in the fifth minute with a 25-yard shot that hit the crossbar and ricocheted off the back of goalkeeper Alisson but stayed out of the net.

Brazil went ahead when Turner took a back pass from Tim Ream and sent the ball upfield for Musah, who was switching off. Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães intercepted with a header toward Raphinha, who fed Rodrygo with a diagonal pass for his sixth international goal, an 8-yard shot past Turner.

Brazil coach Dorival Júnior changed 10 of 11 starters from Saturday's 3-2 win over Mexico, keeping Alisson as the only holdover.
