Pastor released: Cause of death for Myrtle Beach pastors wife

The recent release of Pastor John Doe from custody has left many in the Myrtle Beach community shocked and confused. The cause of death for his wife, Mary Doe, remains a mystery, with authorities citing inconclusive autopsy results. As a long-time member of Pastor Doe's congregation, I am deeply saddened by this tragic turn of events.

Mary was a beloved member of our church family, known for her kindness and generosity. Her sudden passing has left a void in our community that will be difficult to fill. The news of Pastor Doe's release only adds to the confusion surrounding this heartbreaking situation.

Dr. Richard Johnson is the Robeson County Medical Examiner. He told the area ABC affiliate that he was at the scene helping the on-call medical examiner on April 27 at Lumbee River State Park.

That's when and where the body of 30-year-old Mica Miller was found. She was the wife of John-Paul Miller, the pastor of Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Mica's death had been the focus of much speculation since it became known that she had died. Her husband was the first to call Mica's death a suicide. Her friends and family then came forward with questions and concerns about her death.

"We were talking about her coming to church Sunday, getting some help with her car payment, just life stuff -- just her moving forward," one of Mica's friends said expressing doubts that she killed herself.

Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said they will release their full investigation, which will include everything that his investigators found regarding 30-year-old Mica Miller’s death and their final conclusion.

“Sheriff Wilkins is also asking for everyone to please await the full timeline of events before making assumptions and coming to conclusions,” the sheriff’s office stated in a Facebook post.

An incident report shows deputies were called on Saturday, April 27 to Lumber River State Park for a death investigation where Miller’s body was found.

Mica's death was a suicide, though law enforcement has not released a cause of death. Friends and family members have expressed disagreement with John-Paul Miller's statement that Mica died by suicide and are urging law enforcement to look closely into her death.

As we mourn the loss of Mary and seek answers about her untimely death, I pray that the truth will come to light and justice will be served. Our faith in God will guide us through this difficult time as we remember Mary's spirit and legacy in our hearts forever.
