In a thrilling Game 3 matchup between the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks, the Pacers emerged victorious with a 121-118 overtime win. The game was a back-and-forth battle from start to finish, with both teams showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive tenacity.
The Pacers were led by their star player, Domantas Sabonis, who put up an impressive double-double performance with 30 points and 13 rebounds. Malcolm Brogdon also had a standout game for the Pacers, contributing 27 points and 8 assists.
The All-Star guard completed a three-point play with 1.6 seconds left, capping his first postseason triple-double in his first home playoff game to give the Indiana Pacers a 121-118 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Indiana leads the best-of-seven series 2-1, with Game 4 on Sunday in Indianapolis.
"You know I was going to shoot it no matter what," Haliburton said. "What I was going to get was really based off of feel there. Khris [Middleton] pushed Pascal [Siakam] up to tell Patrick [Beverley] to go under, and as soon as I saw Patrick kind of turn his head, I reacted and everything opened up across the middle and I finally made a shot. I couldn't buy a bucket tonight."
Khris Middleton made the first basket of overtime at 4:08. He has 37 points.Myles Turner evened things up with a 2-point shot at 3:50. Turner has 29 points. For a stretch, Andrew Nembhard had back-to-back-to-back offensive rebounds. Indiana didn't score during that span but what an effort.
The Pacers also scored seven additional points off four Bucks turnovers in the first half, with those 27 points being a huge difference in a 67-55 lead.
"They were coming from all over the place," Middleton said of the Pacers' effort on the offensive glass. "Point guards were crashing, wings were crashing, bigs were crashing. Just gotta do a better job of contesting the shot, finding bodies to box out in our zone. A couple of times they were able to sneak in, but then on the other end we was doing the same thing, so we take care of the glass we had a better chance of winning this game."
Middleton missed the Bucks’ final 10 playoff games in 2022 with a sprained medial collateral ligament. Last year, a bruised lower back knocked Antetokounmpo out of Game 1 and caused him to miss the next two games in the Bucks’ first-round loss to Miami.
