Chelsea 6-0 Everton

Chelsea delivered a stunning performance against Everton in a Premier League match, winning 6-0. The Blues dominated the game from start to finish, showcasing their attacking prowess and defensive solidity.

Diego Costa opened the scoring with a clinical finish in the first half, setting the tone for what was to come. Branislav Ivanovic and Nemanja Matic added to the lead before halftime, putting Everton on the back foot.

Palmer got his fourth of the night from the penalty spot after the break – Noni Madueke fouled inside the box – and a fine late strike from Academy graduate and boyhood Blues fan Gilchrist completed a perfect night.

Cole Palmer became the Premier League's joint-leading scorer this season as his four goals helped Chelsea crush hapless Everton 6-0 at Stamford Bridge. The former Manchester City player now has 20 for the campaign and dismantled Sean Dyche's side almost single-handedly, netting a hat-trick inside the first 29 minutes to breathe genuine momentum into his team's bid to qualify for Europe.

This was as complete a first half as Chelsea have managed under Mauricio Pochettino, displaying a clinical edge in front of goal that made the insipid attacking displays of earlier in the season feel like a distant memory. It was also a night for individuals. Moises Caicedo at the base of midfield gave a performance full of guile and maturity; rarely had he looked so in command in Chelsea colours.

The squad’s injuries aren’t going away, so it’s another reshuffle in defense, and a different look in midfield as well. We “should” have the talent to take care of business, but can we actually take care of business?

In the second half, Chelsea continued their relentless assault on Everton's goal, with goals from Ramires, Didier Drogba, and Eden Hazard sealing an emphatic victory for Jose Mourinho's side.
