Bournemouth vs Manchester United 2-2

On a cold and rainy day in Bournemouth, football fans were treated to an exciting match between Bournemouth and Manchester United. The game ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw, with both teams showing great skill and determination on the field.

Manchester United took an early lead with a goal from Marcus Rashford, but Bournemouth quickly equalized with a goal from Joshua King. The second half saw both teams pushing hard for the win, with Anthony Martial scoring another goal for Manchester United. However, Bournemouth refused to give up and Callum Wilson scored the equalizer in the final minutes of the game.

Manchester United are preparing for a busy summer of ins and outs, and Rudy Galetti reports that they're planning to allow Antony to leave and make way for the arrival of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace.

United have oscillated wildly in all five matches they've played over the past four weeks, playing poorly and yet repeatedly being denied victory by late goals. A trip to the seaside to face Andoni Iraola's resurgent Bournemouth seemed ripe for more calamity and, tellingly, the home side were the bookies' favourites before kickoff.

Coming into this match, ten Hag's side had faced a total of 162 shots (an average of 27 per match), with only Sheffield United having weathered more in the Premier League. Bournemouth added another 20 here. Not even the Vaseline slathered on André Onana's gloves could save them, with Dominic Solanke's effort from the edge of the area evading the goalkeeper's right han

United's failure to beat Bournemouth, and Newcastle's 4-0 win over Tottenham earlier on Saturday, meant that Ten Hag's team dropped to seventh in the table.

Ten Hag refused to answer a question as he left the news conference on the potential of United slipping even lower in the table. If United were to end the season in eighth position or lower it would be the club's worst finish in Premier League history.

But the visitors did not heed their lesson and were undone all too easily as a ball by Marcos Senesi found Kluivert in space and he drilled a low shot past Onana.

Kerkez headed against the crossbar as United wobbled and Bournemouth were to regret their failure to kill off the game as Kobbie Mainoo's shot took a deflection and struck Smith's arm for a penalty was awarded.

Fernandes rolled home the spot-kick for his eighth league goal of the season but United still needed a late slice of luck to emerge with a point from another disjointed display.
