Celtics 138, Mavericks 110

The Boston Celtics dominated the Dallas Mavericks in a high-scoring affair, with a final score of 138-110. From the opening tip-off, the Celtics showed their offensive prowess, shooting lights out from beyond the arc and attacking the rim with precision. Jayson Tatum led the charge for Boston, dropping a game-high 35 points and showcasing his versatility on both ends of the court.

The Mavericks struggled to keep up with the Celtics' relentless pace and sharpshooting, as their defense was unable to contain Boston's offensive onslaught. Luka Doncic tried to keep Dallas in the game with his scoring ability, but it was not enough to overcome the Celtics' dominant performance.

A millisecond later, the Celtics were up by 21 points and cruising to a 138-110 victory Friday night at TD Garden.

A barrage of three-pointers by the Celtics, combined with too many missed shots at crucial moments by Dallas, helped do in the Mavs in a game that tested how well they can perform against one of the NBA’s elite teams. In the end, the Celtics improved to 47-12 overall and 28-3 at home while revealing to anyone who was watching nationally on ESPN why they are the most prolific team in the NBA.

On the latest episode of the Mavs Step Back Podcast, we break down Dallas' loss to Boston, why there were actually more positives than negatives to take going forward, and what head coach Jason Kidd must do with his rotations to avoid more hiccups ahead of the postseason. We also dive into the Doncic vs. Tatum "debate" that really isn't much of a debate at all when you compare all of their career numbers and accolades.

Brown shot a scorching 11-for-20 from the field, good for a 55 percent clip. He also dished out five assists on the night while not committing a single turnover. Add in his seven rebounds and steal, and you’ve got a wildly impactful night by the three-time All-Star.

What makes this effort even more impressive is the fact that Brown did it all in less than 31 minutes of action. He logged just 30:47 of playing time, during which Boston outscored Dallas by 16.
