The highly anticipated video game, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, is set to be released this June, much to the excitement of fans around the world. Developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, this action role-playing game has been generating buzz since its announcement in 2019.

Elden Ring promises to deliver a captivating open-world experience filled with challenging gameplay and intricate storytelling. The game's director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, known for his work on critically acclaimed titles such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne, has described Elden Ring as his most ambitious project yet.

lden Ring has been widely acclaimed and is widely considered one of the best games of 2022. Its exceptional performance is evident in the numerous Game of the Year awards it has won.

FromSoftware has now confirmed via the first trailer for Shadow of The Erdtree, that it’ll release on June 21st, 2024, and have also posted a one of a kind trailer to announce the DLC.

However, if you’re in the market to pre-order the game, we’ve got some details pertaining to the editions and cost of Shadow of The Erdtree.

In 2023, FromSoftware confirmed the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC was in development. No release date was given at the time, and FromSoftware went radio silent afterward, as we’ve had no significant updates on the DLC since its announcement almost exactly a year ago. But now, we know we can return to the Lands Between on June 21st.

The video concluded with an advert saying if you pre-order Shadow of the Erdtree you get a  Bonus Gesture: Ring of Miquella as well as a second slide showing the Collector’s Edition with a 40-page hardcover artbook, a 46cm statue of Messmer the Impaler, and soundtrack all packaged in a lovely box.

How will the trailer go down? Well if you loved the original Elden Ring you are going to lap this up. By the time we get to June it will be almost two and a half years since the original, hardware has moved on, heck, gaming has moved on, so we are excited to see how FromSoftware makes this extra-special.

The Land of Shadow will also introduce new natural threats, including what appears to be a Death Blight swamp. FromSoft does love its hellish swaps.
