NORTHAMPTON, MA (WGGB/WSHM) — It is an emotional time for those who work and shop at Acme Surplus in Northampton. After 43 total years of business, the long-running retail outlet is closing up shop for good this weekend. “I think we created something special and I’m sorry to leave it,” said Acme Surplus owner Carolyn Webb-Rosenzweig. Acme Surplus has been a staple in western Massachusetts for 43 years, selling cards, toys and other fixtures.
