Dan Walker has been named as the new host of Classic FM’s Breakfast show, starting from next week. The television presenter and newsreader said he’ll need to “dust off the alarm clock” for his latest gig, with his first broadcast scheduled for 6:30am on Monday 8th January 2024. He rose to prominence at the BBC, first as a sports reporter – presenting news coverage including Radio 5 Live’s Afternoon Edition – before taking to the Breakfast sofa from 2016 until 2022.
