In Week 16 of the NFL season, the Buffalo Bills emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against the Los Angeles Chargers, securing a narrow 24-22 win. This game showcased the resilience and determination of both teams, with each side battling fiercely until the final whistle.
From the onset, it was evident that this clash would be a closely contested affair. The Chargers started strongly, displaying their offensive prowess with an early touchdown. However, the Bills quickly regrouped and responded with an impressive drive of their own to level the score.
After two stalled drives to start the game, the Bills found themselves down 10 early in the second quarter. A Deonte Harty fumble on a punt return set the Chargers up for a short touchdown drive after they kicked a field goal on their opening drive.
In the second quarter, the Buffalo defense forced the Chargers to go three-and-out and the offense took advantage, taking a lead they would not yield for the remainder of the game. It took the Bills just one play to get in the end zone, as Allen dropped back, rolled to the right and hit Gabe Davis in perfect stride for a 57-yard touchdown.

The Bills (9-6) have now won three straight games and are currently in the No. 6 spot in the AFC playoff race with two games left in the regular season.
“Huge,” Allen said of Buffalo’s three-game winning streak. “Backs against the wall. But again, still some season left. We have to finish on our own terms and try to find a way to get in (the playoffs).”
Over that same time frame, the Bears have gone to the playoffs three times, losing in the Wild Card twice and once in the NFC championship in 2010. They've recorded just four winning records over those 17 seasons. They've had five different head coaches during that time, too.
The idea of Tomlin coming to Chicago should make Bears fans giddy. But, as of this writing, it's not a likely outcome, according to Russini's report.
"I will continue to share with you that based on my conversations, there still is a good chance Tomlin is the Steelers’ head coach in 2024," Russini wrote.
