Following a surprise appearance at Art Basel, Kanye West, who now goes by 'Ye,' gave fans a sneak peek at his upcoming album outside a Wynwood restaurant Sunday night.
The rapper shocked fans at the upscale Caribbean restaurant Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen, which sometimes features live music.
The rapper played clips of his upcoming album with Ty Dolla $ign just after they publicized their 17-track list on Instagram.
Nearly two-and-a-half hours later, West and Ty finally assumed the spotlight after stagehands struggled to hook up West’s phone to the audio system. Viewers at home witnessed it all in real time as a stream on YouTube glitched and restarted numerous times in the lead-up to the broadcast. The Kardashians star recently opened up about navigating her business career on the podcastMavericks with Mav Carter. The mogul mom said that she doesn't expect her kids to necessarily follow in her entrepreneurial footsteps.
“I want them to do whatever makes them happy,” Kardashian told the SpringHill Company CEO, when asked if she'd be a similar mom to her famous "momager" Kris Jenner.
She went on to explain that North and Saint's interests are already taking shape. “I already see what they're into and like the creative energy from them and I kind of can tell maybe where my two older ones are going to go," Kardashian said. "North, for sure, feels like a creative. Saint feels like a creative.”
West is currently rumoured to be married to former employee Bianca Censori. He shares his four children – North, 10; Saint, seven; Chicago, five and Psalm, four – with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, whom he divorced last year.
Last week, Ty Dolla $ign shared a tracklist for the new album to Instagram, with song titles including “Lifestyle”, “Worship”, Beg Forgiveness”, and “Drunk”.
Ye surprised fans during Miami's Art Week on December 9 when he showed up at Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen, a Caribbean restaurant in Wynwood, to preview snippets of his new album, which will be his first release since embroiling himself in controversy last year. Early Sunday morning, he reportedly popped up at E11even wearing socks and no shoes before performing alongside DJ Khaled at LIV Nightclub later in the day.
