NFL game: Ravens vs. Chargers 20-10

It's Week 12 in the 2023 NFL season and this Sunday has a jam-packed slate of football games, including, of course, Sunday Night Football. This week on Sunday Night Football, the Baltimore Ravens face off against the Los Angeles Chargers in primetime on NBC at 8:20 p.m. Ready to watch some football? Here’s how to watch this week's Sunday Night Football game: Ravens at Chargers, plus our recommendations for the best ways to watch every NFL game this year, from now until Super Bowl LVIII.

The Chargers are hosting the 8-3 Baltimore Ravens who are arguably playing the most balanced brand of football since Lamar Jackson took over at quarterback. They can legitimately win games with their three-headed monster of a rush attack, behind the arm of Jackson and diverse blend of receiving talents, or with their stifling run defense. Should all three of these units work in concert with another, watch out... you’re in for a long day.

Jackson enters Week 12 No. 5 in the NFL in completion percentage at 69.5, and No. 6 in passer rating with 100.1. If you combine the efforts of Jackson and running back Gus Edwards, the Ravens have the NFL's top rushing attack, averaging 155.1 yards per game. Edwards has added 10 rushing touchdowns, second among AFC backs.

In the first game without All-Pro Mark Andrews, the Ravens’ offense will roll. Tight end Isaiah Likely steps up big with 70-plus receiving yards and catches one of four Lamar Jackson touchdowns. Expect the Ravens to put up big numbers through the air and on the ground against one of the league’s worst defenses that just lost three-time Pro Bowl defense end Joey Bosa. It will be a quiet day on defense as the Ravens will continue to limit big plays and force Justin Herbert into a short passing script. Expect the final score to reflect a closer game than what actually plays out.

On the other side of the ball I'm afraid to even watch how easily Lamar Jackson will move the ball against a team where he can pick and choose the way he wants to attack. He can be a pocket passer, a hand-off merchant or just run the ball himself and it will likely work against a Brandon Staley defense that has struggled against all three options at times.

I reserve some hope this could be closer than I'm expecting it to be due to the fact the oddsmakers have this as only a 3 point favorite. However all logic indicates this will be over early. I wish I could be more positive and if this was another team this week then I would have been but this matchup is daunting before you even consider the mentality differential.
