A LOOSE alligator has been spotted in New Jersey, and police are urging the public to stay home as they search for the creature. A three-foot-long alligator was seen at a park in Middlesex and officials have warned people to stay away from Creighton lake and the Ambrose Brook. A police officer reportedly fired a shot at the alligator, but it is not known if the creature was hit.
