A Bowling Green was arrested for having a weapon while intoxicated. Bowling Green police were called to the 800 block of Lafayette Boulevard Thursday at 9:15 p.m. on a report of a man who said he was having suicidal thoughts. An officer reported he could see a gun in the man’s right hand, which he dropped upon the officer’s arrival, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report. After being medically cleared from the hospital, Ryan Hammer, 45, was taken to jail, where he remained Sunday.
