ROSSFORD — Rossford opened the season with a 28-7 season opening victory over Northwood at Jackson Ferguson Stadium Friday. Northwood outgained Rossford in total yards, 231-194, but five turnovers doomed the Rangers. Rossford quarterback Jackson Schultz threw four touchdown passes, including three to Xaiver Kellermeier. Schultz threw a 12-yard TD pass to Kellermeier in the first quarter, and a 19-yard and 39-yard strikes to Kellermeier in the second quarter. In the third quarter, Schultz completed a 22-yard TD pass to Blake Dewey. Schultz finished completing 15-of-24 passes for 190 yards.
